My E-E-A-T score was low because I had no author bio pages. Added detailed bios with credentials, linked social profiles and published dates on all articles. Score went from 42 to 71.

The checker flagged that I had no About page mentioning real people behind the site. Created one with photos and LinkedIn links. Small thing but it addressed 3 separate E-E-A-T signals.

First-hand experience signals are really important now. Adding specific dates, locations and personal observations to articles makes a big difference. Google can tell the difference between generic content and content from someone who actually did the thing.

Has anyone found a good way to demonstrate expertise in a niche that's hard to credential? I'm in DIY home improvement and there's no formal qualification to point to.

For credibility without formal credentials — focus on specificity. Detailed project photos with dates, material costs, mistakes made and corrected. That specificity signals genuine experience more than any qualification.
