CSS Checker — Performance & Best Practices

CSS checker flagged 340KB of unused styles being loaded on every page. Most of it was from a deactivated page builder plugin still enqueueing its stylesheet. Removing it dropped page weight significantly.

Render-blocking CSS is the performance issue I see most often. Critical CSS should be inlined in the head — the rest can be loaded asynchronously. The checker identifies which stylesheets are blocking render.

Minification is free performance. If your CSS isn't minified, a build tool or CDN can handle it automatically.
