Redirect Checker — Chains, Loops & Fixes

Found a 5-hop redirect chain that had been there since a site migration 2 years ago. Every page linking to the old URL was passing link equity through 5 redirects. Fixed to a direct 301 and rankings improved within weeks.

The checker found redirect loops I didn't even know existed. A WordPress plugin had created circular redirects between two URLs. Would never have spotted that manually.

Any redirect chain longer than 2 hops should be collapsed to a single direct redirect. The tool makes it easy to see which ones need fixing and what the final destination should be.
