Backlink Checker — Building Authority

Used the backlink checker before disavowing anything — really important to verify which links are actually toxic versus just low quality. Ended up disavowing only 12 out of 340 flagged links.

The anchor text distribution view is useful. Over-optimised anchor text is a pattern Google looks at. Mine was borderline so I've been building more branded and natural anchor links.

Any tips for finding unlinked brand mentions? I know these exist but haven't found a good workflow for turning them into links.

Search Google for your brand name with quotes, filter by date to find recent mentions, then check each one for a link. A polite email asking them to add one converts surprisingly well — they already like you enough to mention you.
